Torchwood’s Eve Myles has addressed a scathing comment made by her former co-star John Barrowman on Twitter.
The Keeping Faith star played Gwen Cooper in the Doctor Who spin-off series, while Barrowman, 55, portrayed immortal conman Jack Harkness.
Created by It’s A Sin’s Russell T Davies, the sci-fi drama, which ran from 2006 to 2011, followed the exploits of a small team of alien-hunters as they defend the planet from extra-terrestrial threats.
Eyebrows were raised when musical theatre star Barrowman attacked Myles, 44, on social media earlier this week, before deactivating his Twitter account.
Posting a picture of what appeared to be a Torchwood press conference from years ago, with Myles and Barrowman sat in front of microphones, Barrowman wrote: ‘One is telling the truth! One is spewing rhetoric.’
After the Tweet, which was then removed, was published, Barrowman deleted his account and it remains, at the time of writing, deactivated.

According to the MailOnline, fans questioned why Barrowman seemingly critiqued Myles out of the blue, with one writing: ‘I don’t know what’s going on, but please don’t do this. Putting someone you were close with on blast like this isn’t a good look for you.’
‘I think you should talk with Eve privately and air out any grievances you have together,’ another remarked.
A third penned: ‘To say that about Eve Myles really was the final straw, sadly, things like that should be kept private.’

While Barrowman has yet to comment further on the situation, Myles posted a cheery update on her Twitter on Thursday, assuring fans all was well between her and Barrowman.
She wrote: ‘Hello. John & I have talked & all is fine. We loved working together & given the opportunity we would jump back into Gwen & Jack tomorrow! Please can the hating stop. It’s so upsetting. Please!
‘Also nobody has approached me for a reboot, sorry to say. Have a peaceful Xmas all.’
Last year, Scottish-American actor Barrowman apologised for ‘tomfoolery’ after ‘exposing himself’ on the Torchwood set.
Two former runners alleged that while on set, Barrowman would ‘would get his genitals out on a regular basis’, although stressed that it was ‘larking about’ and not sexually predatory behaviour.
One of the women claimed to The Guardian: ‘Sometimes he’d call me into his dressing room, and I would knock on the door and he’d say, “Oh, look at this”, and he’d just have his willy out, standing in the doorway. It was kind of accepted that it was his thing.’

The 54-year-old admitted to ‘tomfoolery’ on set, but stressed that it was never intended to be sexual in nature. Lawyers did not recall the incidents described by the former runners.

Barrowman told The Guardian that his ‘high-spirited behaviour’ was ‘only ever intended in good humour to entertain colleagues on set and backstage’.
He said: ‘With the benefit of hindsight, I understand that upset may have been caused by my exuberant behaviour and I have apologised for this previously. Since my apology in November 2008, my understanding and behaviour have also changed.’
