The Guardian leads on the same story, saying global warming has ended. The front page also leads on the Nigerian women’s team celebrating a historic win after they beat co-hosts Australia in the World Cup.
The Daily Mirror leads on what it says is the “environmental disaster” of British “throwaway fashion.” The paper features an image of children playing on a beach among rotting clothes in Ghana, where they’ve been dumped.
The Daily Telegraph reports former PM Tony Blair is cautioning against asking the public to carry the burden of tackling climate change. He told a magazine that Britain should play its part, but its efforts alone can’t solve global warming.
