Tim Allen wasn’t shy about puckering up with wife Jane Hajduk at his latest red carpet event – even if it meant his teenage daughter getting caught in the firing line.
The Toy Story actor popped up at the premiere of his festive blockbuster The Santa Clauses, a Disney+ miniseries following on from the actor’s movie trilogy.
Tim, 69, was joined by his wife Jane, 56, and their 13-year-old daughter Elizabeth making for a rather wholesome family outing.
However, poor Elizabeth found herself quite literally in the middle playing gooseberry between her two parents as they put on PDA for the cameras.
Cars actor Tim was seen reaching over to plant a kiss on Jane which would have been a wholly sweet moment – if Elizabeth wasn’t squashed in the middle. The hilarious red carpet blunder saw her backed against the board while clinging onto her dad’s blazer, seemingly unprepared for the impromptu kiss.
When the married couple, who tied the knot in 2006, were able to prize themselves away from each other, Tim took a moment to pose for a heartwarming photo with Elizabeth which saw him kiss her on the head while wrapping his arm around her tightly.

The two appear to have a close bond, evidenced in the fact that Elizabeth actually has a starring role alongside her dad in The Santa Clauses.
Recalling how his daughter impressed casting directors, Tim told Entertainment Weekly: ‘It’s difficult to believe, but it had very little to do with me.
‘I wanted to put my youngest daughter as an elf, just so she’d see herself in a movie. But as she was reading for that, she read so well that they said, ”We’d like to read her for more of a part”.
‘I said, “Whatever you want to do. I want nothing to do with it. I don’t want to pitch my daughter for a part in the movie”.’

However, Elizabeth was so impressive that she ended up ‘moving to the high ranks’. Even Tim was ‘surprised’ by how far she got in the audition process but described it as ‘the most amazing experience’.
The Santa Clauses is set many years after the last instalment, 2006’s The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, and follows Santa Claus aka Scott Calvin (Allen) and Mrs Claus (Elizabeth Mitchell) as they are parents to two children along with Scott’s son from the first movie Charlie (Eric Lloyd).
Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa as he prepares his family to embark on a new adventure south of the pole.
The Santa Clauses arrives on Disney+ on November 16.
