Three men file sexual assault lawsuits against Diddy
Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new allegations of rape and sexual assault, as three men have filed separate lawsuits in New York Supreme Court. The lawsuits, submitted Thursday, allege incidents between 2019 and 2022 in which the rapper is accused of drugging and assaulting the plaintiffs.
Two of the men claim that Combs offered them drinks at parties, which rendered them unconscious before they were allegedly raped. The lawsuits add to over 30 civil cases already filed against the artist, many of which involve similar accusations of sexual misconduct dating back to the 1990s.
Diddy’s legal team has dismissed the new lawsuits as baseless. “These lawsuits are full of lies, and we will prove them false,” his lawyers stated, adding their intention to seek sanctions against the attorneys involved.
Currently held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, Combs has been denied bail three times.
Thomas Giuffra, the attorney representing the three plaintiffs, said more than 60 individuals have contacted his office with claims against Diddy. After investigating these claims, his team decided to move forward with these three cases. The men have chosen to file anonymously, citing fears of retaliation due to Diddy’s influence and reach.
The lawsuits come amid a growing legal storm for Diddy, with allegations spanning decades now being formally addressed in court.
