Police are searching for three young girls who ran away from home and called their disappearance ‘hide and seek’.
Olivia Carrier, 12; Anna Barker, 14; and Jandi Hughes, 16, were last seen on Thursday around midnight on Spur Drive in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
‘No foul play is suspected,’ stated the Livingston Parish Sheriffs’ Office. ‘But, due to the pending dip in temperatures, we are hoping to locate them as soon as possible.’
A massive winter storm has brought a cold front, blizzard-like conditions and caused outages across the US.

But some social media users criticized the girls for seeming to mock police in the search effort.
‘They are having fun with this. Claiming they are in Texas,’ one user wrote.
Olivia then replied: ‘Yeah we did it’s called hide and seek.’
Snapchat messages shared by Facebook users showed that Olivia also wrote, ‘Say we all the way in Texas’.
Another shared post had Anna allegedly writing, ‘Boy y’all f***** me up on ma runaway pic’ and including laughing emojis.
The sheriff’s department told the Daily Mail that they are aware of the social media posts and that they are being investigated. They asked anyone with information to contact the department.
