This Morning star Dan Hatfield has revealed an awkward call he received from bosses after making an interview blunder.
Recent weeks have seen the ITV programme recover from being thrown into scandal, with Holly Willoughby joined by the likes of Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson.
Phillip Schofield resigned from the programme amid rumours their relationship was cooling and they were ‘barely speaking’.
Days later, he sensationally resigned from all ITV projects in full after his bombshell confession of an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger employee.
In the meantime, while Holly took a break from the show, and upon her return said she was ‘shaken, troubled, let down’ and ‘full of questions’.
Despite claims of ‘toxicity’ on the set of This Morning by the likes of former guest Dr Ranj Singh and Eamonn Holmes, Holly continued presenting the programme without referring to the claims, while Alison and Dermot also elsewhere rubbished ‘nonsense’ rumours.
But now, a This Morning guest has revealed a ‘scary’ call with ITV bosses.

Dan has made regular appearances on the show where he gives viewers money making advice.
The pawnbroker has now spoken about his time on the show, saying he’s ‘very, very lucky’ and it’s a ‘dream come true’.
But, after his interview with Alison and Dermot, he received an awkward call from bosses, that left him thinking he was in trouble.
The Million Pound Pawn star explained to the Daily Star: ‘I got in my car afterwards to come back home, and I’d taken a couple of bottles of water for the journey back.’
‘This Morning has really welcomed me with open arms. It’s lovely to be a member,’ Dan said (Picture: S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock)
On his way back, Dan received a phone call from a number he ‘didn’t know’, he said, adding: ‘It was one of the editors from This Morning and they asked me where I was.
‘I thought that I was getting in trouble cos I had taken a couple bottles of water with me.’
However, producers had actually rung Dan to see if he’d be keen for more appearances on the show.
‘This Morning has really welcomed me with open arms. It’s lovely to be a member,’ he added.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
