This set is Dynamite (pic: Lego)
The first ever Lego set to be based on a real band features exclusive minifigures of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.
There’ve been Lego sets based on everything from classical artwork to Star Wars spaceships but a recreation of BTS’s Dynamite music video is something new.
It’s part of the Lego Ideas line, which are models that fans design and then vote on. Once one gets over 10,000 votes Lego puts it in line to be considered for an actual set, and once it’s released the original creators get a percentage of the profits.
BTS fans ensured this one got picked and the end result is not only seven exclusive minifigures but the set from the video, including the donut shop, ice cream truck, and record store.
The model was designed by friends Josh, 20, from Indian and Jacob, 21, from New York. ‘Josh did the building and design work and, as a massive BTS fan, I told him what needed to be in it, what details were most important,’ says Jacob.
‘Jacob had the BTS knowledge, and he was able to direct my build in the proper way,’ agrees Josh. ‘I watched the music video over and over and tried to capture its essence in the Lego bricks. It was insane when the project went viral online overnight.’

The set is made up of 749 pieces and measures 38cm long and 14cm long, although all the separate buildings can be detached and rearranged however you want, so you don’t only have to have the set-up in the photos.
It costs £89.99 but that’s unavoidable given how many minifigures there are. It doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it’ll go on sale from early March at Lego stores and the official Lego website.
