The Daily Mirror writes the Royal British Legion, which runs the Poppy Appeal, has said pro-Palestine protests should be allowed to go ahead on Armistice Day, apparently rejecting Suella Braverman’s statements to the contrary.
The paper carries a picture of the Cenotaph and says that the people honoured by the monument “fought and died for our freedom”. The paper asks Braverman, “How dare you try to take that away?”, while also telling those planning a pro-Palestinian march amid remembrance commemorations on Saturday to “remember who won you these freedoms”.
