The Traitors star Kieran Tompsett has shared his thoughts on the US version of the hit game show, which sees Alan Cumming as host while reality television stars take part in the game alongside normal people.
Kieran made it to the final roundtable of The Traitors UK, and dropped the biggest hint that ultimately lead Faithfuls Aaron Evans, Meryl Williams and Hannah Byczkowski to win the game, after they finally banished the ultimate Traitor Wilfred Webster.
Days before, Wilf recruited Kieran to his dark side, hoping to steal the £101,050 jackpot, but in their final moments, Shakespearean levels of psychodrama and back-stabbing led to Kieran being banished from the game.
Shortly after the series aired it became immensely popular, with the programme being viewed more than five million times on BBC iPlayer.
Fans were left begging for a series two, and to tide us over, the US version dropped as a box set not long later.
But, according to Kieran, they can’t really be compared.

In an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk, he said: ‘A lot of people are comparing each one, and that’s the problem, I think if you’re comparing it, apples and pears, they’re two different things.
‘I think we did set the standard so high, and because it is quite in close succession with each other, it is quite raw, so everyone is remembering us and then looking at it.’
He added that five episodes in, the US version, which sees the likes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville and Big Brother’s Rachel Reilly, is starting to get a ‘little more lively’.

‘It’s very different, so you’ve just got to go with the flow and see how it pans out,’ Kieran continued.
‘A lot of people are saying it’s not really the same, but they’re too different things.’
The Traitors is available to watch on BBCiPlayer.
