The Sun newspaper leads with a story about the hit TV show The Crown and reports that the series will focus on the death of Princess Diana in the new series. 

Her son, Prince William is said to be hurt that the new series will focus on his parents’ marriage troubles and his mother’s tragic death, a year after her divorce,  in a 1997 car accident in Paris. 

The paper says the crew on set have been left outraged at plans the show will recreate Diana’s last few moments – with the crew saying ‘a line has been crossed.’ 

The paper’s front page leaves room for a warning for Tory plotters saying if Liz Truss is ousted from office it’s likely there will be a snap general election – one Labour will likely win. 

Liverpool’s win over Manchester City also makes its way to The Sun’s front page.
