Do you believe Rubbish is the JLS star? (Picture: ITV)
The Masked Singer UK fans have a theory about the identity of Rubbish, with many speculating it could be Marvin Humes from JLS.
The competition show, hosted by Joel Dommett, kicked off last week, with the first batch of celebrities trying to hoodwink judges Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross.
The first episode saw performances from Cat & Mouse, Jellyfish, Knitting, Otter and Phoenix, whose identities are yet to be unveiled, with former pro footballer Chris Kamara who left after being unveiled as Ghost.
On Saturday’s The Masked Singer UK, the likes of Jacket Potato and Pigeon took to the stage, as well as Rubbish.
Prior to their performances, a slew of clues were given about who Rubbish could be, including the line: ‘There might be loads of bins but we’re all solo’, leading Hot Right Now singer Rita believing they were in a band.
They also said ‘overture to you’, further suggesting to talkshow host Jonathan they were linked to the music world.

After taking to the stage to sing, viewers flocked to Twitter to guess who Rubbish could be, with theories ranging from Phil Daniels, Keith Lemon and Lewis Capaldi.
However, one of the most popular beliefs was that Rubbish is Marvin from JLS over an earlier clue, which saw Rubbish point to four brightly coloured bins.
Fans were convinced they search represented a member of JLS, as they used to have a signature colour, with one saying: #MaskedSingerUK Rubbish is Marvin from JLS says my wife. The colours of the bins represent the colours of the members, @AstonMerrygold was blue, @MarvinHumes is green, @JBGill is yellow and @Oritse is red.’
As Rubbish is green, many said that Marvin was a ‘strong possibility.’
Elsewhere, viewers reckoned Fawn, who delivered a stunning performance of Tale As Old As Time from Disney classic Beauty and the Beast, is Stacey Solomon.

That’s because they mentioned they lived in a ‘cottage’ and, picking up on the hint immediately, viewers pieced two and two together, believing it could be Stacey’s beloved Pickle Cottage, aka her Essex mansion where she lives with husband Joe Swash and their children.
The Masked Singer continues on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
