Daily Mirror – The Final Betrayal 

Downing Street has refused to rule out axing the Manchester leg of HS2 in what the Daily Mirror calls the “final betrayal”. It goes on to quote Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, who accused the government of making the “North pay for their failure”.
