The Bachelor Australia has broken new ground with a potential match confirming she’s already in a relationship and bringing her boyfriend on a date.
The current season of the Australian series has already hit a milestone by having not one, not two, but three bachelor’s looking for love.
One of those is marketing manager, sports commentator and former professional basketballer Felix Von Hofe, 27, who is currently a few weeks into forming connections with the ladies.
One of the women vying for his heart is bridal stylist Jessica Navin, 25, who went on the show already in a relationship.
Practicing ethical non-monogamy, Jessica was given the blessing of her boyfriend to sign up and put herself out there to try and find another partner.
However, in what a first for the franchise globally, things got a little bit awkward after her boyfriend Damien turned up for one of her dates.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Damien visits the mansion to meet the man his girlfriend is dating, and then joins in for a lunch date with the whole group.
The two were pretty civil, however Felix did admit he’d been struggling to come to terms with it all.
‘It’s so foreign to me as a concept … it’s obviously an uncomfortable thing to wrap my head around,’ he told Damien.

At the same time the other contestants weren’t too happy their chance to spend more time with Felix was being overshadowed by Jessica and her boyfriend’s presence.
‘The whole group date was essentially about Damien, Jess and Felix – it was not what I expected, to be honest,’ contestant Zara said.
Another, called Alesia, added: ‘Everyone’s a bit like, “What’s going on?” There’s a time and a place and it’s not here, because everyone has lost time with the guy they’re here to get to know.’
In a previous episode, one of the other girls rushed to tell another Bachelor, Jed McIntosh, about Jess’ boyfriend after finding out about her relationship status, which then forced her to then speak to Felix about the fact she wasn’t exactly single.

While Felix said he wanted to be in a monogamous relationship, he added that he was open to spending more time together and developing their connection.
Meanwhile Jess has previously spoken about her mixed feelings about going on the show due to her view on monogamous relationships.
‘There are all these different ways of going about relationships and, before I settle down and have my own kids and stuff, I think this is the time in my life where I should explore my sexuality and those different ways of going about relationships,’ she told Who.

The Bachelors airs on Channel Ten in Australia.
