The 1975 fans, get excited, because the band’s biggest gig has been announced.
This summer, the guys will perform their biggest UK headline concert to date for 45,000 fans in London’s Finsbury Park.
The indie-rock band, who scooped the Brit award for best rock/alternative act on Saturday, recently concluded their At Their Very Best UK tour following the release of their fifth studio album Being Funny In A Foreign Language.
Comprising of frontman Matty Healy, guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel, the group will take over Finsbury Park on July 2.
Bu that’s not all, as they’ll play alongside dream pop band Cigarettes After Sex, indie-pop singer The Japanese House, and rock bands American Football and Bleachers – the latter fronted by Grammy award-winning record producer Jack Antonoff.
The band formed in Cheshire in 2002 after the foursome met at secondary school and later signed to Dirty Hit records.

They recently made headlines for a number of viral moments to have come out of the At Their Very Best tour, which saw a show-within-a-show stage set-up, featuring a multi-room, house-like arrangement as the backdrop.
Whether it was frontman Matty eating raw meat, or his bandmates cutting him off before saying something problematic, it’s safe to say the shows were full of memorable moments.
The tour also featured high-profile guest appearances from the likes of Taylor Swift and Lewis Capaldi, who surprised arenas by singing their own songs, as well as some of the band’s.
What’s more, it included The 1975’s previous biggest show, which took place at the O2 before 20,000 fans, a number set to almost double later this year.
Following the release of their self-titled debut in 2013, The 1975 have hit the number one spot on the official UK album charts with all five of their studio albums.
The 1975 have previously headlined Reading and Leeds Festivals, once in 2019 and again in 2022 after Rage Against The Machine were forced to pulled out over a medical issue.
