Authorities have arrested a person in connection with the stabbing deaths of four students at the University of Idaho.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to NBC News that a person of interest in the confounding cold case was arrested over 2,500 miles away in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
The person of interest was described as a 25-year-old man. He was taken into custody by local police officers and FBI agents.
The suspect appeared before a Monroe County judge at 8.30am on Friday morning, the sources said.
Moscow Police Department announced that they would hold a press conference about the arrest at 1pm Mountain Time. The press conference will be livestreamed on YouTube.
