It was an emotional night for Adam Thomas as he left his brother in tears with his waltz on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Waterloo Road star, 35, had big bro Ryan Thomas, 39, wiping his eyes after nailing his week 4 performance with pro partner Luba Mushtuk.
Adam and Luba glided across the dancefloor to I Wonder Why by Curtis Stigers to land a score of 32, much to their delight.
Older brother Ryan – who is set to put his own dance skills to the test on Dancing On Ice 2024 – couldn’t help but well up as he watched from the audience.
Judge Anton Du Beke said he was ‘speechless’ after the performance and praised Adam for having the best top-line he has seen across the entire series.
Motsi Mabuse agreed it was his ‘best dance’ since the series started.

‘It was calm, it was actually surreal, it had some beautiful moments with footwork,’ added head judge Shirley Ballas.
After admitting she was ‘gobsmacked’ by the routine, Adam himself started tearing up as he basked in the glowing praise.
‘Aw, your brother was crying in the audience!’, Tess Daly told him.
‘Was he crying? Bless him,’ said Adam with a smile.
‘He’s shedding a little tear,’ added the presenter.
The former Emmerdale star declared he has ‘found [his] dance’ in the waltz, telling Claudia Winkleman that this was the dance he wanted from the beginning.

‘It was just unbelievable, this is the reason why I wanted to Strictly, for a dance like this. It felt like a movie out there, it really did,’ he said proudly.
Russian dancer Luba was then forced to wipe her own eyes after receiving eights across the board from the panel.
There really wasn’t a dry eye in the house, despite Adam teasing a sibling rivalry between him and Ryan ahead of his stint on the ice.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, the soap star said Ryan ‘definitely’ wants to beat his younger sibling in his own dance competition show.
Adam joked that they are now firmly locked in competition to see who can do better.
‘It’s added pressure, I’ve gotta do well!’, he laughed.

‘I was just doing it for me when I first started, now I just want to do my best because I know he’ll be amazing on Dancing On Ice so I’ve gotta step up my game now because I don’t want him coming back saying, “Haha I beat you!”
‘I’ve definitely gotta put more work in now, but it’s amazing that we’re both doing dance shows, although he’s definitely got his work cut out, it’s a tough one!’
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday on BBC One and iPlayer.
