Strictly Come Dancing fans couldn’t have been more delighted or jealous after watching Gorka Márquez kiss a fellow dancer on the lips during his latest routine with Helen Skelton.
On tonight’s episode of the BBC competition, the remaining celebrities and their professional partners finally arrived at the famous Blackpool ballroom, after a hiatus from the special week over the past couple of years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Countryfile star Helen and her partner Gorka brought the energy to the dancefloor with their Quickstep to Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse’s hit song Valerie.
At the very end of the routine, Helen pretended to ask dancer Cameron Lombard and Gorka to each plant a kiss on her cheeks, before ducking out of the way.
So as part of the choreography, Cameron and Gorka kissed on the lips instead, before Helen and Gorka received their score of 39 out of a possible 40, with Craig Revel Horwood the only judge to resist reaching for his 10 paddle.
One envious fan said that they would have ‘done the kiss with Gorka for free’, while another wrote: ‘I wanna kiss Gorka!!’

‘Who else would love to kiss Gorka?’ another viewer asked, while another dubbed the professional dancer a ‘tease’.
One fan said they were ‘screaming’ after watching Cameron and Gorka lock lips, while another reacted by tweeting: ‘Omg that kiss at the end, so cute!’
While Helen and Gorka missed reaching a perfect score by one mark, Fleur East and Vito Coppola managed the near-impossible feat straight after them.
After performing their Couple’s Choice routine, through which they paid homage to Destiny’s Child, the ever-stubborn Craig finally relented and gave the dance a perfect score.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
