Strictly Come Dancing’s Hamza Yassin has praised his professional partner Jowita Przystal following his triumphant win.
During Saturday’s live final, the wildlife cameraman was crowned this year’s champion, with Fleur East, Mollie Rainford and Helen Skelton as runners-up.
The fabulous four performed three dances for judges Craig Revel Horwood, Anton du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse, but it was Hamza that lifted the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old penned a wholesome post to his ‘leading lady’ Jowita.
‘It was my absolute pleasure to grace the floor of the famous Blackpool Tower with you,’ he wrote.
‘I know how much this particular ballroom means to you as a dancer. It was a great honour to open the show with you, dancing one of my favourite dances (American smooth foxtrot) to the beautiful song, New York, New York by Frank Sinatra.’
He continued: ‘Never in a million years did I think I would be on this journey. I want to thank you for your kindness, your patience and your understanding. I shall forever cherish the memory of sharing this stage with you. You are the best!’
Jowaita – who has made history after becoming the first professional dancer to win in their first series – replied: ‘THANK YOU!!!!! For making my dream come true, for your trust and commitment ❤️ you are the best!’

Hamza recently spoke to Metro.co.uk and other press ahead of the final on Sunday, revealing he still struggles with his confidence.
He explained: ‘Each week is a new dance, and it feels like you’re back in square one again, and you’re learning a different hold.’

‘I’m certainly out of my comfort zone, a lion charging in front of the camera I’m like, “Alright cool, I know what that’s going to do,” and I’m confident there, whereas here I’m in clothes that I wouldn’t normally wear, doing stuff that I wouldn’t normally do.’
‘I don’t hear the music believe it or not, I feel the music, there’s a rhythm,’ Hamza added.
‘For me, confidence is a tough thing, but I feel like my dyslexia helps me out with my dancing. So I have that to rely on.’
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on BBCiPlayer.
