Strictly Come Dancing fans were rather baffled by a quick cameo from Britain’s Got Talent act Stavros Flatley during the semi-final on Saturday night.
Each of the remaining five couples – Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, Will Mellor and Nancy Xu, Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez, Fleur East and Vito Coppola and Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal – tackled two dances for the first time tonight.
As part of the VT ahead of their second routines, each couple watched messages of support from family and friends to cheer them on, and Molly treated us all to a blast from the past with hers.
After singer, influencer and 2020 Strictly finalist Hrvy popped up wishing her luck and telling her she was going to ‘absolutely smash it’, everyone’s favourite Cypriot-Irish dancing duo made an appearance.
Dimitri and Lagi Demetriou shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 with their hilarious dance act Stavros Flatley, which got them all the way to the final.
Standing by a pool, the father and son – who now appear to sport matching Cyprus tattoos on their stomachs – beamed as they sent their good wishes to fellow BGT alumna Molly.

‘We all know who taught you how to dance!’ joked Dimitri to the camera, as Molly laughed and exclaimed: ‘Stavros Flatley?’
Molly was 11 when she appeared on the popular ITV talent contest in 2012 as a singer and reached the finals as the youngest-ever competitor at the time.
‘Stavros Flatley the MADDEST people to appear in video messages in #Strictly history,’ tweeted one fan in disbelief, while another commented: ‘I don’t think anyone had Stavros Flatley on their #Strictly bingo card.’

A keen fan added: ‘Hang on, Stavros Flatley taught Molly to dance? She should have mentioned this before and he should have been in the audience every week.’
Molly reunited with BGT creator and judge Simon Cowell on The One Show last week, when she reminisced about her time on the talent competition and Simon revealed that he remembered her audition well, saying he always recalls the ‘great’ ones.
‘That was a big song,’ he shared. ‘At that age, how on earth do you do this without shaking or falling apart?
