The Observer’s front page reports that the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer is vowing to get rid of the House of Lords in a move he hopes would “restore trust in politics.” The paper reports the Labour leader would replace the Lords with an elected chamber. 

The party is understood to look at the best way of carrying out such reforms, and then include the final proposals in their next election manifesto.
