Former Arsenal star Hector Bellerin is wanted by Sporting Lisbon if they complete the sale of Pedro Porro to Tottenham, according to reports.
Bellerin, who currently plays for Barcelona, is said to be open to the move.
Spurs are currently in talks with Sporting over Porro and recently looked to have made a breakthrough in negotiations having previously had a £32.5million bid for right-back rejected.
However, reports on Saturday suggested that the transfer had hit a big speed bump, with the two clubs struggling to agree over a payment structure on the deal, and there is now a possibility that the move is off.
Should it go through however, the Portuguese side will have to quickly find a replacement with just a few days of the January transfer window left.
Sporting had initially looked to target Brighton star Tariq Lamptey but the Seagulls have no interest in selling the 22-year-old.
Now, The Athletic report that they are exploring the idea of signing Bellerin, whose contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old only joined the Spanish giants on a free last summer but has found game time hard to come by, having made just seven appearances, only five of them starts, so far.
The former Spain international had previously spent 11 years at the Emirates, where he made 239 appearances, helping Arsenal win three FA Cups.
Tottenham are hoping to complete the Porro signing to appease Antonio Conte and improve the right wing-back position with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty struggling for form and Djed Spence out of favour.
23-year-old Porro has scored three and made 11 assists in 25 games so far this season.
