Arsenal fans reacted on social media last night as Theo Walcott helped Southampton to a 1-1 draw at Wolves in the Premier League. On Monday night football with supporters watching from home, the former Gooner caused a social media storm from fans who claim he is better than Pepe.

Some Arsenal supporters stated that the former England International is better than the left-footed Ivorian Pepe. The Southampton man has been in a rich vein of form and has been involved in three goals in five league matches, whilst Pepe has scored one goal in eight league encounters.

Arsenal fans were so impressed with Theo Wolacots performance against Wolves with a flurry of tweets within seconds of his goal. The wonderkid, who burst onto the scene as a teenager, created a divided opinion amongst the Gooner, and his career was constantly questioned by supporters during his time at the club.
Nicolas Pepe, who finds himself being scrutinised in a negative manner because of his actions over the weekend and his poor recent form.

In 2006, Theo Walcott, a teenager, left his boyhood club, Southampton FC in the Championship to join Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal team. In 2018 he was sold to Everton and has been on loan to Southampton.
