Germany vs England tonight – Nations League prediction, kick-off time and how to watch

Germany vs England tonight in the latest Nations League clash as the three lions look to bounce back from a shocking defeat to Hungary.

England’s last match saw Southgate’s men lose 1-0 in a dire showing in Budapest, but now – three days later, they will be needing a huge improvement against one of England’s oldest rivals in Munich.

The last time England played Germany was during the Euro 2020 last summer when England won in the last-16. But Germany are unbeaten in 10 games since then and pose a significant threat in League A Group 3.

Germany drew 1-1 away to Italy at the weekend with a Joshua Kimmich reply to Lorenzo Pellegrini’s second-half opener.

STARTING LINEUP

Predicted line-ups

GER – Neuer, Kehrer, Sule, Rudiger, Raum, Kimmich, Gundogan, Gnabry, Muller, Musiala, Havertz

ENG – Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, James, Rice, Phillips, Trippier, Saka, Kane, Sterling

PREDICTION

Germany vs England prediction

Evening Standard

England need to get their act together if they are to come away from Munich with anything. Southgate’s experimental line-up will not be repeated, so there should be more solidity to the team.

Germany fought back to earn a point in Italy and should have enough to take another point in front of their own fans.

Gareth Southgate says threat of racist abuse 'another layer' in deciding who to pick for England penalties

A 2-2 draw. – (ES

The Independent

Germany to inflict a second straight defeat on Southgate’s side to show further why the timing of the fixtures is a farce. Germany 3-1 England.  – (Independent

Sports Mole

Southgate’s choice to go with an experimental XI did not pay dividends in Budapest, but there are several big-hitters ready and waiting to ensure England can return to scoring ways against a Germany defence that is far from impenetrable.

An increase in ruthlessness could have seen Germany enter this contest with three points instead of one, but rival turf has not been kind to England in the Nations League, and we do not expect Southgate to inspire a turnaround in fortunes after only 72 hours. Germany 2-1 England – (SportsMole
