A bear was caught on camera sneaking into a bakery garage, grabbing 60 cupcakes and gorging on them in the car park.
The hungry black bear helped itself to the sugary treats at Taste by Spellbound in Avon, Connecticut, in the US on Wednesday.
A member of staff was in the garage, loading desserts into a van for delivery when she spotted the bear staring back at her.
She ran into the kitchen, screaming there was a bear in the garage.
Footage shows how the bear then drags a box of cupcakes outside and begins eating them, while staff try to shoo him away, with no luck.
It eventually leaves after an employee drives their car around the back and honks their horn.
On the same day, bakery owner Miriam Stephens posted on social media to let customers know that they’d be opening a bit later than normal because of a bear visit.

‘Never did I think I’d say this but we had a bear come into our bakery and charge one of our ladies,’ she wrote. ‘We’re safe but the cupcakes aren’t.’
In a follow up post, which was accompanied by a photo of discarded cupcakes strewn on the ground next to the van, Miriam went into more detail:
‘We have a loading garage in the back of our Avon shop for our Transit. Maureen was loading it with the last items before I was to leave.
‘She was on the West Hartford side of the van, looked up and saw a bear staring at her from the South Windsor side. All the sudden we hear her screaming bloody murder and then yelling, “There’s a bear in garage!”
‘She ran into the kitchen as fast as she could and slammed the door that goes into the loading area and held it tight.’

Miriam says the bear then moved one of the garage fridges in front of the door.
She continued: ‘We all were stunned for a second trying to figure out what to do while she held the door shut. I immediately called 911.
‘Lisa then had a brilliant idea to go out the front and get in her car to drive around back and she started beeping her horn like a crazy person.
‘She finally got him out and Maureen ran to the garage to close it as fast as she could.’
In total, the bear destroyed 60 cupcakes and a ‘bunch of coconut cake’, Miriam said.
She explained that they didn’t have a video or photos of the bear as ‘that was the last thing on our minds’, but a later posts reveals that a neighbouring business caught the action on the CCTV.

Miriam explains that the video was 10 minutes long but they’ve sped it up to around 30 seconds.
Miriam, who said no bears would be harmed as a result of what happened, also posted a picture of a limited edition cupcake featuring a Teddy Graham on top.
She wrote: ‘The shops have a BEARY delicious menu today! (My one and only bear joke I’m gonna make).’
There are around 1,200 bears throughout Connecticut, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
