Skunk Anansie star Skin made sure she was hard to forget after turning up to receive her OBE medal from King Charles III in the most eccentric outfit she could find, and it was incredible.
The 55-year-old singer, real name Deborah Dyer, was made an OBE for services to music, alongside fashion designer Stella McCartney who was made a CBE at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.
Skin certainly pushed the boat out for the special occasion, turning up to meet King Charles in a stunning oversized poncho adorned with diamantes and a hood.
However, it was her eye-catching footwear that really completed the outfit, with Skin tottering along in a pair of quirky black boots featuring a particularly chunky platform, giving her plenty of height to greet the Royal.
Needless to say, Skin’s unique outfit has taken on a life of its own on social media, with fans praising her look.
One tweeted: ‘This is just superb, on so many levels,’ while another branded it ‘spectacular’.

‘What an icon. he should bow down to her,’ one fan enthused.
Tongue-in-cheek, another quipped: ‘Why is he dressed so weird?’
One fan was convinced ‘both [were] admiring each others footwear’ after analysing the photo, while another joked in reference to King Charles: ‘What a ridiculous outfit.
‘Red striped trousers? Come on.’

Skin, who rose to fame in the 90s as the lead vocalist of the British rock band, said the honour was ‘completely unexpected’.
‘It had literally never occurred to me that this could happen, it was a really lovely surprise,’ she told PA.
The Masked Singer star, best known for her band’s hit single Weak, said the honour was on a par with singing for the Dalai Lama and duetting with Pavarotti as the best moments of her career.
‘Just being in this castle is an honour, it has so much history and so much tradition. It’s quite nice to have been born in this country and to be in this position,’ she explained.
Revealing what she and the King spoke about, Skin teased: ‘We had a long old conversation. He said, “So how did I manage to miss this wonderful band of yours? They keep telling me that this wonderful band of yours is excellent” – he was very sweet.’
