Simon Cowell didn’t know how to respond after his puppet doppelganger serenaded him with a song during the latest episode of America’s Got Talent.
On the most recent episode of the talent series the music mogul, 63, was unable to speak after Puppet Simon and the Cow Belles wowed judges Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel with their rendition of Queen’s Somebody to Love – however Sofía Vergara pressed the dreaded buzzer.
‘Well first of all I did the buzzer before Simon [puppet Simon] appeared on stage, but I don’t think it’s an act that belongs on AGT,’ the Modern Family actress explained.
Seeing the humorous side of it all, Simon took a jibe at his co-judge replying: ‘I just love the fact that Sofia is arguing with a puppet.’
He continued: ‘I’m not a huge fan of these kinds of acts but I thought that was really funny.’
The X Factor judge of course had to flatter the puppet look-alike by branding it ‘handsome and charismatic.’

‘I feel like I’m in the middle of a weird dream,’ Howie quipped before the three judges gave them a yes.
Simon has had a pretty interesting time on the series so far, but the most strange was when the producers came up with a genius solution to him losing his voice.
During the fifth week of the auditions the judge could barely make a sound as he took to the stage.

But unwilling to let Simon sit by, host Terry Crews presented him with a creative solution that had been thought up.
At the start of the show Terry said that there was a ‘gift’ for the long-time judge.
‘Being the great person that I am, I got a gift for him,’ he explained.
‘I have a special soundboard that has been loaded up with thousands of comments – a lot of things he’s said over the years – so we’ll be able to hear Simon Cowell.’
From that point, Simon’s comments from previous seasons of the show were recycled to enable him to both welcome and critique this week’s hopeful contestants.
America’s Got Talent airs on NBC in the US.
