At least one person was wounded in a shooting outside of a Walmart automotive center in Georgia.
Police officers responded to a report of an active shooter at the chain store’s location on Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta.
‘Soon after arrival, it was determined that the shooting was between two separate groups, was in the exterior area of the Walmart automotive center,’ said Cobb County Police Department Deputy Chief Benjamin Cohen.
The person who was shot was transported in a private vehicle to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, according to Cohen.

The shooting happened two weeks after an overnight manager at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, opened fire at the store and killed six people.
No other injuries were immediately confirmed in Cobb County. Police initially reported there were multiple victims. Cops at at the scene soon said there was no longer a threat to the public.
‘It was two groups that knew each other,’ Cohen said. ‘They had an altercation… There is no danger to the public.’
Police detained several people for questioning but no arrest had been made as of Wednesday evening. They did not disclose how many people they held.
No shots were fired inside the Walmart, cops said, but it was evacuated.
Walmart spokesperson Ashley Nolan said ‘we are aware of the situation and are working closely with local law enforcement’, according to CNN.
A Walmart customer, Gail Parks, said a man began running across the score shouting, ‘Active shooter! Active shooter’.
‘And people started scattering everywhere, dropping stuff and running out of the store,’ Parks told WSB-TV.

Another customer, Melody Hippos, said ‘it was chaotic and you could tell people were panicked’.
Jesse Phillips, an employee at Dollar Tree in the same plaza, said Walmart employees ran into his store.
‘You couldn’t even get in the parking lot, there were so many police cars and everything, SWAT and ambulances, fire department and stuff like that,’ Phillips told the TV station.
The Walmart was to remain closed on Wednesday night and police patrolled the area.
