Shock Coronation Street exit for Carla ahead of Peter leaving too

The stressful situation is just going to get worse (Picture: ITV)

Carla Connor (Alison King) in Coronation Street is currently dealing with the mess Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) left Underworld in prior to his death.

Shortly before Stephen was killed by Peter (Chris Gascoyne), he tricked Michael (Ryan Russell) into transferring the funds from the Underworld bank account into a bogus one that he had set up.

Add jobs being at risk and the destroyed reputation into the mix, Carla now has to work incredibly hard to get Underworld back up and running.

In Wednesday’s (October 18) episode of the ITV soap, Carla revealed that she’s going to fly to Spain to fix a business deal.

Aware of the ongoing investigation into whether or not Peter planned to murder Stephen, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) wondered if leaving was a good idea, but Carla knew that being at the business meeting in person might increase Underworld’s chance not losing the deal.

Back at the flat, Carla packed her suitcase and told Peter that she wouldn’t be gone for long.

The atmosphere was tense for the couple and when Peter said he might be in prison by the time she gets back, Carla got upset.
