Shakira is set to move to Miami next year with her two children after coming to an agreement with her ex Gerard Pique following a ’12-hour meeting’.
The pair, who split earlier this year, are believed to have thrashed out an agreement between their lawyers which will see the Colombian pop star head back to Florida early in the New Year.
It’s understood the singer owned a house for 20 years in Miami and it’s also where her family lives.
She’ll be moving with her two sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, whom she shares with the footballer.
The summit meeting started Monday afternoon at their former family home in Esplugues de Llobregat on the outskirts of Barcelona.
It didn’t finish until the early hours of this morning, according to local press, with the negotiations described as ‘intense’ by Catalan daily El Periodico.

La Vanguardia, which also reported on the agreement ‘after 12 hours of negotiation’ added: ‘Milan and Sasha will go with Shakira to Miami.
‘The children will spend Christmas in Barcelona but as soon as 2023 begins, the footballer will say goodbye and assume a painful sacrifice so that the youngsters don’t experience an even more traumatic separation between their parents.
‘He will be able to cross the Atlantic Ocean to see them whenever he wants. The costs will be borne by both of them.’
Shakira split from Pique, 35, after 11 years in May, with Pique’s relationship with 23-year-old Clara Chia emerging shortly after he and Shakira confirmed they were no longer an item.

On Saturday Pique, who broke down in tears on Saturday at Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium during an emotional farewell speech after retiring from football, was filmed kissing and cuddling his new girlfriend in the stands at Barcelona’s stadium after his emotional farewell tribute.
The pair hugged each other and locked lips as they chatted with friends.
Singer-songwriter Shakira owns a mansion in Miami reported to be worth £14million, which she is said to have put up for sale in 2018 before removing it from the market a few months ago.
She lived in the city before meeting Pique and moving to Barcelona, after they began dating following her appearance in the Waka Waka video for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
In her new song, titled Monotonia, the 45-year-old appeared to aim some of the lyrics at the athlete.
‘It’s a necessary goodbye. What used to be incredible became routine,’ she could be heard singing in Spanish. ‘Your lips don’t taste like anything to me.
‘I know that I gave more than you.’
‘You left me because of your narcissism. You forgot what we used to be,’ she sang, describing his attitude as ‘distant’.
In the accompanying music video, which premiered on YouTube, she could be seen in tears as she wandered around the aisles of a supermarket.
Shakira previously spoke out over their long-term relationship ending in a candid interview, and vowed that she put ‘everything’ into the time they spent together.
Reflecting on their relationship, the Wherever, Whenever musician said that she put her own career on the backburner to be a support system for her loved ones.
‘One of the two had to make that effort and that sacrifice. And I did it. I put my career in second gear and I came to Spain, to support him so he could play football and win titles. And it was a sacrifice of love. Thanks to that, my kids were able to have a present mom, and I have this amazing bond with them that is unbreakable and that sustains us,’ she told Elle.
‘It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult.
‘Regardless of how things ended or how Gerard and I feel about each other as ex-partners, he is the father of my children. We have a job to do for these two incredible boys, and I have faith that we will figure out what is best for their future, their own dreams in life, and what is a fair solution for everyone involved. And I hope and would appreciate if we were given the space to do that privately.’
