Scott van-der-Sluis shocked viewers with his attempt at a karaoke ballad during the Love Island annual talent show as he gave Millie Court’s piano solo a run for its money.
The 22-year-old Welsh footballer stepped up last to show off his talent and opted to belt out Emeli Sande Read All About It in front of the other islanders on Monday night.
Struggling to keep up with the melody, there was a couple of missed cues by the goalkeeper but his fellow contestants filled in the gaps, turning the moment into a group sing-song.
Fans and viewers took to Twitter to comment on the goalie’s attempts at a belter online and shared their opinions.
One wrote: ‘Scott I had to turn my volume down I’m so sorry,’ while another joked the budding star could be the frontman for a trio with Millie’s piano playing from a previous season and Indiyah Polack’s recorder solo: ‘They finally found there singer [sic]’.
‘OMFG… what the hell was Scott thinking.. i genuinely hid behind a cushion while he ‘sang’ [sic],’ was a viewer’s response to the rather cringe-worthy moment.

Elsewhere on the jam-packed episode, Whitney Adebayo, 25, and Tyrique Hyde, 24, thrilled audience members with their rap as they paired up to treat the islanders to a duo they didn’t know they needed.
Online fans reacted and said: ‘Whitney and Ty ‘bad b***h’, drop it now?! [sic],’ and another added: ‘This Whitney and Ty duo was too funny but I really enjoyed it’.
Things in the villa became emotional as the remaining islanders reflected on their parents, siblings and friends surprising them the day before.

Aside from his singing, Scott became a talking point of the group during the episode that aired on ITV 2 after his partner Abi Moores, 25, doubted their connection.
Admitting she was a fast mover when it came to relationships, she confronted her girlfriends in the house about her struggles to find a spark with the footballer.
Abi’s mum had warned her to give it time when she visited the Spanish house and assured her daughter that she was seeing a connection form between the pair.

Meanwhile, Scott leaned on his own mother for advice after he felt he wasn’t on the same page as his partner and asked for more time to explore the potential romance.
