A new barrage of Russian shelling has today hit southern Ukraine, killing at least three people.
A hospital, a school, a bus station, a post office, a bank, and apartment blocks are amongst the heavily damaged buildings in Kherson today.
The port city on the Dnieper River was liberated in November – after eight months of occupation – and since then Russia has been hellbent on destroying it.
The strike on the Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital marked at least the sixth time a medical facility in the area has been targeted since early December.
According to a statement from the health ministry, a former nurse was injured in the attack.
Multiple residential areas were also heavily shelled, with regional officials warning of ‘many casualties’.

‘Kherson is under a massive attack by Russian artillery. The enemy is prowling the residential quarters of the city,’ a statement from the Kherson Oblast Military Administration read.
‘As a result of enemy shelling, a number of buildings were damaged – the Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital, a school, a bus station, a post office, a bank, and residential buildings.
