Russian attacks leave 4.5 million without power
More than 4.5 million Ukrainians have been left without power following Russian attacks on its energy network.
Ukraine’s president Zelensky described the attacks as “energy terrorism.”
In recent weeks, Russia has carried out large-scale missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian power facilities.
The massive strikes come as officials say Russian troops are set to withdraw from the key city of Kherson.
In the last month, a third of the country’s power stations have reportedly been destroyed, according to Zelensky.
The Ukrainian people have been urged to use energy sparingly as a result of the attacks.
