Russia accuses Ukraine of Moscow drone attack
Two drones were reportedly “suppressed and crashed” causing damage to at least two buildings in Moscow early on Monday morning.
Russia has accused Ukraine of being behind the drone attack. No causalities have been recorded.
State-owned Tass news agency reported that one drone fell close to the defence ministry.
Ukraine has yet to comment on the claims and it’s unlikely they will.
Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the drone strikes in the capital hit “non-residential” buildings at around 04:00 local time. The mayor confirmed, via social media, that the buildings had not sustained any major damage.
“A Kyiv regime attempt to carry out a terrorist act using two drones on objects on the territory of the city of Moscow was stopped,” the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
