Romelu Lukaku has turned down a transfer to the Saudi Pro League and is ‘annoyed’ with Chelsea over their refusal to grant him his ideal move.
After his first season back at Stamford Bridge following a £97million move from Inter failed to work out, Lukaku returned to Inter on loan having fallen out with Thomas Tuchel.
Lukaku failed to hit the heights he did under Antonio Conte at San Siro, but still played a key role in helping the Nerazzurri reach a first Champions League final in 13 years.
The Belgium international would ideally like to spend another season at Inter but Chelsea are not keen on sending the 30-year-old out on loan again.
According to The Telegraph, Lukaku is frustrated at Chelsea’s stance, especially with no other major European club showing an interest in his services at this stage of the transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino, meanwhile, is desperate to trim his squad ahead of the start of pre-season and Chelsea are keen to resolve the futures of players he has deemed surplus to requirements before the end of the month to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
To that end, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are on the brink of completing moves to Al Ittihad and Manchester City respectively.
Chelsea are braced to receive improved bids for Kai Havertz and Mason Mount from Arsenal and Manchester United.
