Robbie Williams looks set to follow in the footsteps of Gary Barlow by bringing out his own wine range (Picture: Redferns)
Robbie Williams is reportedly set to rival former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow in the wine world as well as the charts.
The musicians both shot to fame as teenagers in the 90s alongside fellow Take That members Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen, and have since gone on to enjoy successful solo careers.
But while they’ve previously battled it out in the charts, it looks like they’re now set to become rivals in a different way, as Robbie is seemingly preparing to release his own brand of wine.
Of course, Gary launched his own Organic wine range just over a year ago, so this could be interesting.
According to The Sun, Robbie is planning to release a range of wines, alcopops and spirits, despite having been sober for two decades, under the name Rude Rise.
Robbie has filed to trademark the brand name with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office with a title giving a nod to his 2006 record Rudebox.

It comes after the launch of Gary’s wine last year, which saw the Take That frontman team up with Benchmark Drinks for a range featuring a music note on the package in tribute to his career.
He said at the time that he was ‘proud’ of his new venture, having spent months learning about the process of creating wine.
‘The definition of a great evening for me is friends, laughter and good wine,’ Gary said upon the launch.

‘I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled and experienced different cultures over the years and wines from across the world.
‘After months of learning about the process and tasting different blends, I’m very proud to now launch my own range of organic wines from Spain.’
Away from the drinks side of things, Gary recently confirmed Take That has started work on a new album – their first in five years.

‘We have started a little bit of writing, but we’re not due to officially start until the New Year,’ Gary teased on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.
‘Hopefully [there will be an album out] next year, but we’ve got to write some hits.’
The band is a trio once again following the departure of Robbie and Jason, and will headline the BST festival in Hyde Park next summer.
