Edris Enofe may have made a bold choice (Picture: WWE)
Edris Enofe is working his way up the WWE ladder in NXT but he’s already nailing his colours to the mast.
The rising star, whose real name is Inyene Umoh, is a United States Navy veteran who signed with the company after tryouts over SummerSlam week in Las Vegas last year, and he looks to have a new tattoo which has got everyone talking.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Edris shared a video of himself showing off a new tattoo outline and if it’s legit, it looks like he’s getting the current WWE logo inked onto his chest.
‘I’m a company man,’ he said in the clip, which shows the beginnings of the design before the tattooist leans over him with the ink gun buzzing, although we don’t get to see the actual point of contact and the artist isn’t wearing any gloves.
‘NEW CHEST TAT,’ he captioned the video. ‘One thing about me is, I’m dedicated to this brand @WWE , Now, Then, Forever #WWE #WWENXT’.
To say fans were divided was an understatement, with some people praising his apparent commitment to his journey in WWE.

‘I love both,’ replied one supporter alongside a load of fire emojis. ‘The tat and the dedication!!!! (sic)’
Others weren’t quite so sure, pointing out the possibility of him getting released from WWE one day and having to work for another company with the logo on his chest.
‘This ain’t it, my guy,’ tweeted one follower, while another wrote: ‘I wouldn’t have got one that big on my chest, Maybe if anything a small logo tattooed somewhere it can be made discreet my padding when performing etc.’
They added: ‘WWE is not going to give you special treatment for this, If you have done it as a fan then fine, You do you.. (sic)’
Others refused to believe the tattoo was real, with one fan urging him to ‘say sike right now’, while another was loving the replies and laughed: ‘I’m just here for the triggered comments, lmao.’
Edris doesn’t seem to be above bringing fans along for a ride, as even his bio includes a fishing hook and crying laughing emoji, and he’s written: ‘You’re probably on my page right now cause I tweeted something you didn’t like’.
Following the reaction to the apparent tattoo, he quipped: ‘ngl, i kinda regret it now (sic)’
WWE NXT airs Tuesday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
