Rebel Wilson’s Sacha Baron Cohen allegations covered with black lines in UK edition of memoir
Rebel Wilson’s memoir Rebel Rising has finally been published in the UK – but some of its contents has been redacted, with black lines appearing over some of her claims about Sacha Baron Cohen.
The 44-year-old Pitch Perfect star’s tell-all memoir, which has already been published in its original form in the US, features an entire chapter called Sacha Baron Cohen and Other A**holes.
After the allegations were detailed in the US version of the book, a spokesperson for the Ali G creator said: ‘While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.’
The 2016 film – simply called Grimsby in the UK – saw Rebel cast as Dawn Grobham, the girlfriend of Sacha Baron Cohen’s character Nobby.
