Real Sociedad are negotiating with Manchester United over a deal for Donny van de Beek, according to reports.
The La Liga side are also keen on Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon who may not be in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
Van de Beek is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer following three miserable seasons with the Red Devils, where he’s managed just two goals and two assists in 60 appearances.
He has failed to usurp Bruno Fernandes in the pecking order and even the arrival of his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag couldn’t revive his fortunes.
In 2022/23, the midfielder only played 10 games, starting just four times, and had his season ended early following a horrific knee injury in January.
With Mason Mount joining United, there is no place in the squad for the 26-year-old whom Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed for £40million, with the player recently admitting he was open to a move.
And he has now been offered a way out, with reports from Spain claiming that Sociedad are in talks with United and want to sign Van de Beek on a loan deal that will include an £8m buyout clause.

It remains to be seen whether United would be willing to accept these terms given that reports last month said that they were looking for around £20m for the Dutchman who has two years left on his contract.
Furthermore, Ten Hag is keen to raise funds now in order to fund the transfers of striker Rasmus Hojlund and defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and will likely push Sociedad into signing Van de Beek permanently.
The reports from Spain also say that Sociedad are looking for a new left-back and are looking at Reguilon who could be for sale.

Though the 26-year-old has featured in both of Spurs’ pre-season fixtures, the Lilywhites are well-stocked at left-back through Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie, while Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon can also play in that position.
Last season, the Spain international was shipped out on loan but failed to make an impact at Atletico Madrid, making just 12 appearances.
