Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has opened up about being ‘jealous and mad’ that Tamra Judge had returned to the show without her.
The Coto Insurance icon was an original cast member from season one, the first Housewives series ever, when it hit our screens in 2006, but bowed out ahead of series 15.
Tamra, who left at the same point, recently announced that she would be making a surprise comeback for season 17 of RHOC, leaving fans delighted.
Speaking of the move, the 60-year-old admitted that she was initially envious of her best friend for getting a coveted orange.
‘I was jealous, mad,’ she confessed. ‘I thought the phone would be ringing for [me]. I’m like, “Hello, Andy [Cohen], you’re not calling me!”’
Vicki will be making a return at points, including on a cast trip to Mexico with Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Taylor Armstrong, who previously appeared on the Beverly Hills franchise.

Although she was jealous, the Bravo OG has since changed her tune, and is ‘so happy’ for Tamra.
‘She really wanted it more than me. She’s good TV,’ she continued to Us Weekly, before shedding light on her own scenes. ‘It was great. Loved it. Loved my girls.
‘I love my Tamra [and] Shannon and we’re good together.’

The last few years of RHOC have dwindled in ratings, with many fans begging for changes to be made – leading to Tamra’s return.
The 55-year-old was fired from the Bravo franchise at the end of season 15, but was confirmed to be making a comeback for series 17.
Speaking of getting back in front of the camera, the fitness expert revealed that she returned full of ‘resentment and anger’.

‘After two years of sitting on the bench, being on pause, getting fired, I came back with a lot of energy,’ she previously told Entertainment Tonight. ‘I had a lot of built-up resentment and anger, and it might show.
‘I had some things to get off my chest. Nobody was off limits.
‘I think it’s probably one of the best seasons in many, many years.’
Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Bravo in the US and is available to stream on hayu in the UK.
