Did you know Logic voiced a character in The Last Of Us Part 2? (pic: Metro.co.uk)
After being a fan of the game for years Logic explains how he managed to score a part in The Last Of Us Part 2.
Although The Last Of Us just got its small screen debut, real fans of the game have been following the franchise since 2013, when Part 1 was released.
Rapper Logic was one of those people, and has described The Last Of Us as the best video game to have ever been made.
When the sequel was released in 2020, Logic managed to ‘con’ his way into getting the role of a minor antagonist called simply ‘Small Rattler’ and here’s how he did it…
He says it all started when he was invited to play Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at Naughty Dog’s theatre, likely a few months before it launched in 2016.
There Logic met Neil Druckmann, the co-president of Naughty Dog, whom he asked to lunch as he was a big fan.
He joked that he’d even play ‘a trash can’ in The Last Of Us, if it meant he’d be in the game, and soon enough he got called to read for a part… although it’s not who you’d expect.
Logic auditioned for the part of Jesse, who’s one of the characters who join Ellie on her quest for revenge, although he didn’t get the part – it went to Stephen Chang.
Two to three years later Naughty Dog contacted Logic again and invited him to try for another part, which he ended up getting, the unnamed Rattler.
His character attempts to fight Ellie, who then goes on to feed him to a Clicker and steals his suppressed submachine gun – which Logic claims is ‘the best’ gun in the game.

‘It’s a day I’ll never forget. A moment in my life I’ll never forget, a dream come true,’ the rapper said reminiscing about filming his scenes.
By the time he got cast in The Last Of Us Part 2, Logic claims he had beaten Part 1 at least 15 times in a decade, making him an expert in the game.
‘I played this game, I lived in this game, I was this game. It was not an escape from reality, it was an enhancement in my reality,’ he added.
The rapper spoke so highly of the franchise, stating it has inspired him to write and create better, besides teaching him other valuable life lessons.
As for the HBO show, Logic said that he’s really excited to watch it, especially knowing that it was written by Neil Druckmann who also co-directed the video games.
