Ralph Fiennes has revealed how he was used as a ‘relationship decoy’ by co-stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez when they worked together on Maid In Manhattan.
The trio worked together on the 2002 romantic comedy when rumours of Ben and Jen’s relationship began circulating.
Ralph and Jennifer were onscreen lovers for the film, but it appears she also wanted to give the impression they were together off-screen too to throw members of the press off the scent.
Harry Potter star Ralph, 59, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live! how he fit into the role of a ‘relationship decoy’ for the pair.
He gave details of his decoy date with J-Lo, 53, where the pair and her two agents went for dinner at the high-end restaurant Cipriani’s in New York’s Soho.
‘We had a nice dinner – chatty, chatty, chatty – and I went to my car. Actually, I think I was walking home,’ he said.

The actor revealed he gave Jennifer a quick peck on the cheek before they went their separate ways, and the next day their evening was all over the headlines.
‘Somehow, the pictures were angled so she’s walking away and I’m walking after her. And I think it said the next day on The Post, it said, “It’s Ralph! We know who it is!”‘
Jennifer and Ben, aka Bennifer, first dated from 2002 to 2004 in a high-profile romance that saw them get engaged and eventually split.
After meeting on the set of Gigli in 2001, the pair planned to marry in 2003 before postponing their nuptials.

Bennifer eventually split in 2004, with J-Lo going on to marry Grammy Award-winning artist Marc Anthony while Ben wed Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner.
Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance last year, 19 years after their first fling, announcing their engagement in April before marrying two months later.
While their first nuptials in Las Vegas were an intimate affair, they went all out for the second round in August for a stunning ceremony at their 87-acre and $8.9million (£7.3million) Georgia estate.
The pair’s kids were all in attendance. Ben was joined by Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Sam, 11, who he shares with ex Jennifer Garner, and joining JLo were twins Emme and Max, 14, who she shares with ex Marc Anthony.
The event also boasted a star-studded guestlist, with Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, and Jason Mewes in attendance.
