What are Qatar’s COVID travel requirements for World Cup 2022?
If you’re heading to Qatar this November for the World Cup you no longer need to present negative Covid tests or preregister on a government app to enter the country.
The government has cancelled the majority of travel restrictions related to Covid-19 ahead of the start of the World Cup.
The World Cup starts on November 20 – and from November 1, football fans no longer need to present negative Covid-19 PCR or Rapid Antigen tests to enter the country.

There is no need to preregister on the government’s Ehteraz health application before your arrival.
A green health status on Ehteraz is now required only to access the country’s health facilities.
A covid vaccination certificate is no longer needed to enter Qatar.
The measure covers all visitors arriving from November 1 when Qatar will be closed to anyone without a Hayya card – a document issued to players, officials, staff, media and ticket holders and their guests.
A requirement to wear masks on public transport was scrapped in October and masks are also not compulsory inside the eight World Cup stadiums.
Where is the FIFA World Cup 2022 schedule?

Given the compact nature of Qatar, event organisers were able to assign, for the first time ever, group stage games to a stadium and kick-off time for each matchday after the final draw, optimising the match schedule for the benefit and comfort of spectators, teams, media and the global audience.
A total of 64 games will be played to decide the winners of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. See when and where the action will take place.
