Putin makes nuclear threat to the West and warns it’s ‘not a bluff’ as he orders Russian military mobilisation
The i says Vladimir Putin has made a nuclear threat to the West, warning he has “lots of weapons to reply” to what he claimed were threats over the Ukraine war – and insisting he is not bluffing.
In a rare television address, the Russian leader claimed that the West had engaged in “nuclear blackmail” against his country and “gone beyond all limits in its aggression”.
“If the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, we use all available means to protect our people – this is not a bluff,” Mr Putin said.
