Meghan Markle and Prince Harry discuss engagement ring
Prince Harry and Prince William are likely to “feel exactly the same” about Meghan Markle’s engagement ring, thanks to its connection to their beloved mother Princess Diana.
Harry proposed to his now-wife in 2017 with a ring containing diamonds from his late mother’s collection, but the Duchess has sparked concern that it could be “missing” as she has not worn it in public since May.
She did not wear the ring at all while she and Harry were at the Invictus Games in Germany in September, nor was it seen on her finger during the Variety Power of Women gala earlier this month.
Danielle Rogers-Clark, a fashion expert and founder of Give Good Dress, believes that the Prince of Wales will also be worried if the ring has indeed gone missing.
She told GB News: “Prince William is said to be concerned that the ring is missing. William is very protective over his late mother Princess Diana’s memory and her legacy.

“Her stunning and precious jewellery collection forms a very important part of that. From William’s perspective, he has memories of her wearing every single piece and would be concerned if a piece was missing.”
She added that Harry has equal right to be concerned, saying: “Harry has as much right to his mother’s pieces as William.
“I am sure William is aware that his brother feels exactly the same and would do his best to make sure the diamonds remain safe and loved.”

During Harry and Meghan’s engagement interview in 2017, the Duke described the ring he used to propose and how it was constructed.
He said: “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s [Meghan’s] favourite.
“The main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds on either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”
Jewellery expert Laura Taylor from Lorel Diamonds previously told Express.co.uk why Meghan’s ring may no longer be wearable.

“While the updated design is beautiful, micro pave bands often prioritise the number of diamonds over the strength of the ring, usually leading to a more fragile piece.
“For those considering a micro pave, we usually suggest that the ring is only worn occasionally and that extra care is taken. This is because a slight knock to the ring can dislodge the diamonds and warp the band.”
Many have speculated that the ring is simply being repaired.
