Leading with Partygate, the paper says PM Boris Johnson is planning to sacrifice senior civil servant Simon Case in an “effort to save his own job” when the Sue Gray report is published. The Sunday Telegraph – Tories in threat to torpedo unions

An apparent attack on unions by the Tories is detailed in the Sunday Telegraph. The paper reports the Conservatives are “threatening to launch a double-pronged attack against trade unions”. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has told the paper about plans to bring in laws requiring minimum numbers of rail staff to work during a strike.

It also highlights ministers’ fears that the Civil Service is “erasing” women from new laws.

The Sunday Times claims the NHS covered up an “ambulance deaths scandal” involving alleged mistakes by paramedics in the northeast of England. The paper says managers at the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) “filtered out inconvenient facts” to stop families and coroners from learning the full circumstances of how individuals died in more than 90 cases.

It says “up to ten migrants” asked to be returned home rather than risk having their claims for refugee status assessed in the central African nation.
