Angela Rayner apologises unreservedly for Tory scum comments after abuse hell
The Daily Express says the deputy Labour leader, who has been off on bereavement leave, said that “in the future I will be more careful about how I do that and in the language that I choose.” It comes following the arrest of a 52-year-old man was yesterday morning after Ms Rayner received a string of threats earlier in the month.
In a statement released this evening (Thursday), she referenced the recent stabbing of fellow MP Sir David Amess, saying in her absence that she had “reflected on our political debate and the threats and abuse that now seem to feature all too often.”
