Bolaños asks the PP to “put the interests of the citizens first” in the Conference of Presidents
The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, has described as “good news at the beginning” that the Conference of Presidents will be held in Santander and has expressed his hope that the Popular Party (PP) “will put the interests of citizens” at the meeting, opening up to agreements on immigration and housing.
“I hope that the Popular Party and its presidents put the interests of the citizens first and, therefore, we can reach agreements on immigration and housing, because they will be useful policies for citizens,” Bolaños said from Brussels, where he will participate this Friday in a meeting of EU Justice Ministers.
For Bolaños, despite the “noise”, the situation in Spain, he stressed, is one of “enormous stability and enormous economic prosperity.” Citing the article by The Economist which declares Spain the best advanced economy of 2024, the minister has insisted that Spain is “a country that works and that is in an economic, social and also territorial cohesion moment, which is a sweet moment.” In this sense, the holding of the meeting of presidents in Santander, with the presence of the president of the Generalitat and the lehendakari, “also speaks of the institutional stability” of the country, he insisted.
“I think that citizens like it and, therefore, it is good news to see all the public administrations, both the Government of Spain and the regional governments, that are working together, to see that they collaborate, that they work hand in hand, that They try to find solutions to the problems that the citizens of our country have, because that is the purpose that governments have,” he said in statements to journalists.
