Police try to end 25-hour siege by ‘offering armed man McDonald’s breakfast’
The Independent says Police negotiators tried to end the 25 hour stand-off with the armed man – by delivering him a McDonald’s breakfast.
A female officer wearing a stab vest and helmet was seen clutching a Maccy’s bag and a hot drink while walking along the street this morning.
Local residents said they have still not been allowed back into their homes as the deadlock continued.
One said: “The police have been very nice about it and have even got an old dear her medication for her.
