Breaking – Police say 13-year-old boy killed in Hainault sword attack
Police have confirmed a 13-year-old boy has been killed in a sword attack in Hainault, east London, this morning.
Five people were injured in the attack, including two police officers. The others are not believed to have life-threatening injuries but are in hospitals.
A 36-year-old man was arrested just 22 minutes after the first call, after being Tasered.
The incident is not being treated as terror-related. Nor is it believed to be a targeted attack.
Police were first called to reports of a vehicle driven into a house just before 07:00 BST.
