Metro – PM Hints At Lower Tax: Sunak’s Cutting It Fine 

The Metro says Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has promised tax cuts ahead of the general election. The paper says the PM has distanced himself from his predecessor’s “unfunded” tax-cutting policy last year, insisting: “We will do this in a serious, responsible way, based on fiscal rules, alongside independent forecasts.”

The front page reports on the Covid inquiry after Sir Patrick Vallance gave evidence yesterday. He noted the then PM Boris Johnson did not understand the science, during the Covid pandemic.
